I was using a borrowed flugelhorn, and when I had to return it I called Trent about finding a new one. I was originally interested in the Doublers horn, but he was out. He recommended this horn and I love it. I can play in my big band and the other guys are using Yamaha's, Kanstul's, and Getzen's, and I fit right in with the Brasspire. Another player ended up getting one also.
ACB modified Brasspire flugelhorn with red brass bell.
This is an amazing flugel that we are now stocking in the shop. As far as we know, we are the only dealer in the US carrying these. This is an upgrade over the ever-popular Yamaha 631 and 731 designs... and a bit more performance over our ACB Doubler Flugelhorns. These horns are available in silver plate only, with all silver trim (the black nickel trim pictured is no longer offered). The fit, finish, and quality of this horn is extremely good!

I play the silver Brasspire for a couple of months, and I have more and more pleasure playing that horn. I had 3 other flugels before ( amongst those a big brand name ) and no one satisfied me. This flugel just have THE SOUND!! Period. Construction is of great quality. If you're looking at a budget flugel, just don't buy before trying that model... Sorry for english, I'm a frenchie from Quebec ;o)
I purchased a Brasspire flugel with a TAMDF mouthpiece. I wasn't sure what to expect, but wow. This flugel really sounds like a flugel! It plays well above its price point. Valves are pretty fantastic. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a flugel.
