The A4 is one of our most popular models in the trumpet line. This horn is a result of extensive collaborative work with Adams Performing Artist Amik Guerra. This is one of our heavier models. Featuring a 5.5-inch one-piece bell and also a heavy chassis this horn is an ideal choice for the soloist looking for an extremely rich, warm, fluid, and thick sounding horn. One of the things we stress about this instrument is the fact it will work in many different musical environments due to wonderful coloring and richness on this horn. While most people order this horn in the larger .470 (12mm) bore we do make a .460 (11.7mm) bore instrument on request for clients. Also available in this model is a shepherd´s crook model which allows for more personal expression in the dynamic and articulation palette.
(Adams Selected Model: A4, Large, .40 Gold Brass Bell, Brushed lacquer)

I knew this horn was easier to play than my Schilke B1 when I first got my hands on it. But now that I've had it for four months, it can REALLY tell how much easier it is to play and how much better it sounds than my old horn. As a jazz player, the A4-LT allows my short bursts of double time to speak more clearly than on the Schilke. Also, the valves feel amazing ALL THE TIME. I wish I could have had this horn years ago!
I've owned this horn for 2 weeks now and have played it everyday. The craftsmanship, and fit and finish is impeccable. I play a lot of small combo jazz and this horn fits right in. Smooth and smokey, and a delight to play. It is an open horn. The Blow is free and easy. When I play big band, I can really light it up. The upper register slots solidly and it has a beautiful and very musical sound up high. A great all around horn. Highly recommended.
Lovin' this horn!
Love the horn..warmer tone on the staff (which i love) but you can push it above the staff if needed. Beautiful horn and feels great in your hands and sounds great to my ears as well. Big thanks to Trent for his help picking this one out!
Love the Adams line of trumpets and especially the A4 LT that I'm now playing. Great intonation and slotting. Very open sound.
I've only had this incredible horn for three days and I can tell it's a game changer. The sound is smooth up and down my range. Today at rehearsal someone called it creamy. It blends with the section but from practice I know I can make sound darker or brighter as I desire. A real brass chameleon. And everyone likes the look of my new chameleon. Especially me.
