I would almost consider buying this striking horn soley based on looks, but after playing it I’ve discovered that it has performance to match its bold styling and multi-toned brushed brass finish. The slots are very present, yet flexibility drills flow freely. I previously played a lighter horn and I really appreciate the way the weight has influenced my tone- particulary in the low register. Many thanks to Trent and the guys for their usual exceptional service!
The A4 is one of our most popular models in the trumpet line. This horn is a result of extensive collaborative work with Adams Performing Artist Amik Guerra. This is one of our heavier models. Featuring a 5.5-inch one-piece bell and also a heavy chassis this horn is an ideal choice for the soloist looking for an extremely rich, warm, fluid, and thick sounding horn. One of the things we stress about this instrument is the fact it will work in many different musical environments due to wonderful coloring and richness on this horn. While most people order this horn in the larger .470 (12mm) bore we do make a .460 (11.7mm) bore instrument on request for clients. Also available in this model is a shepherd´s crook model which allows for more personal expression in the dynamic and articulation palette.

This horn is amazing. I played a Bach 72 for a long, long time and was looking for something with a more open feeling. Trent had me try a bunch of different horns and we settled on the A4. It is the most open horn I've ever played. The slotting is incredible and the sound is HUGE. Absolutely love the horn and I'm happy to be in the Adams family.
