The Bach Stradivarius trumpet is one of the most popular trumpets in the world for a reason - they have a special ring that few other horns can match. This horn is set up for the commercial player, with a 43 Bell and 25 leadpipe, making this horn free blowing in all registers. This horn would also blend well in wind ensembles, when Vincent Bach was still in charge of manufacturing, the 37 and 43 bells were produced in similar quantities due to the flexibility of sound with small mouthpiece changes.
This horn has clearly seen a lot of play time since it was built in the 1980s - recently cleaned and serviced here at ACB. Check out the raw brass tuning slide which we had to rebuild (and put an "Lee's Key" on it) as well as the curvature of the back bell bend and some solder marks.
Plating is fairly worn as you can see. Leadpipe has the beginnings of some spotting but we pressure tested it with a few of our tools here and it measured fine.
Valves have good compression
We have professionally cleaned and aligned the horn here at the shop. It's a solid player with a wonderful sound and priced to sell!
